BOAT HIRE CONDITIONS

  1. A refundable deposit of £50.00 is required to cover loss or damage to the boat, outboard motor or life jackets. A cheque is acceptable.
  2. The outboard motor will only be hired to persons who can demonstrate familiarity and competence in its use.
  3. The outboard motor is attached to the boat by a locked anti-theft device; it is also attached to the hull by a rope. Neither must be removed when afloat.
  4. The outboard motor, petrol and oars may be collected from the Manager from 8am each day, Monday to Friday, and must be returned to him for overnight storage no later than 10pm.
  5. The outboard motor and petrol must never be taken into the cottages.
  6. Buoyancy jackets are provided free of charge for each person and must be worn at all times when afloat. They must not be left in an unattended boat.
  7. Fishing permits are required if you intend to fish from the boat. These can be purchased from the Manager. The Loch Rannoch Conservation Association does not permit fishing on the loch after 10pm.
  8. Rannoch Lodge does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal effects taken on to the boat, including cameras, binoculars, fishing tackle, money and other valuables.
  9. The second, smaller boat can only be hired out at present with oars and not with the outboard motor.
