Volunteering at Branklyn - there is something for everyone to do

The National Trust for Scotland is a charity and depends for its support on the subscriptions of its members, donations and legacies. But the Trust also needs help in other ways and one of the best ways for people to show their support of the Trust and its aims is by volunteering.

All sorts of volunteers are needed to help with all sorts of jobs. So whoever you are and whatever your skills why not come along and join in.

At Branklyn Garden there is a need for people to help with the gardening, possibly as a skilled specialist, but more likely as someone who is happy to work under instruction. It is in fact a good way to learn about gardening.

And there are plenty of other jobs as well. For instance help is needed with printing plant labels. People are needed to run the small shop on a rota basis. And there is a particular need at the moment for someone who has secretarial experience to help the manager run the office. Perhaps you have retired from a secretarial post and can offer to help for a few hours a day, even if it is only a few days a week.

Whatever you are able to do, if you feel you would like to get involved at Branklyn Garden please get in touch with the

Manager/Head Gardener, Steve McNamara.

You can reach him on the telephone by phoning 01738 625535.

You can write to him at 116 Dundee Road, Perth PH2 7BB.

You can email him at smcnamara@nts.org.uk

So why not get in touch and find out how you can help.
