Branklyn Garden is situated on the A85 (Dundee Road) in the Barnhill district of Perth to the east of the River Tay and is only a short distance from the centre of the city.

On Foot
It is easily reached on foot from the centre of Perth. Follow the signs at the south end of Tay Street near the Fergusson Gallery.

By Car
Coming from the south, leave the M90 at Junction 11 and follow signs to Perth. Coming from Dundee leave the A90 by the slip road (sign for A85 and Perth) and follow signs to Perth. Once past the 30 mph sign, look out for signs to Branklyn Garden. For car parking only (no coaches), follow signs to car park – turn right up Fairmount Road, bearing right into Fairmount Terrace, and entrance to car park is by the second gate on your right.

Note: Coaches or other large vehicles should not try to go to the car park. They will not be able to turn into the entrance and the roads up Fairmount Road and Fairmount Terrace are very narrow with absolutely no place a coach or large vehicle can turn.

Coming from the centre of Perth, cross the river by the Queen’s Bridge, turn right into the Dundee Road, and look out for the signs to the car park on your left.

Disabled parking only at entrance to garden by arrangement with shop staff.

Note: Coaches may park at the entrance to Branklyn Garden, but will need to approach the slip road from the city centre direction as they will be unable to turn right as they travel towards the city centre on the A85.

Bus: Stagecoach (no 16) from the centre of Perth stops at the end of the short slip road off the Dundee Road which leads to the Garden. Note this is a new bus stop.

Rail: Perth station, 25 minutes walk.
